Education Quality Assurance Department

Mission: To set and enforce quality standards for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children education, ensuring quality education delivery at the Basic Education level.

Key Functions:

  • Monitor and assess compliance with national curriculum and guidelines.

  • Regularly evaluate schools/learning centers to ensure policy adherence.

  • Promote best practices in teaching, learning, and research.

  • Develop a functioning state QA system in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Train and accredit quality assurance evaluators.

  • Advise on using evaluation results to improve schools.

Structure:

  • Evaluation & Accreditation Division: Validates school self-evaluations, approves external exams, and ensures facilities for trade subjects.

  • Professional Development Division: Retools education officers for QA processes and certifies them as agents.

  • Curriculum & Pedagogy Division: Ensures core subject application, develops implementation questionnaires, and secures resources for trade subjects.

  • Advocacy & Sensitization Division: Raises awareness and enforces sanctions for non-compliance.

The Department plays a crucial role in maintaining quality education standards for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children, contributing to national development and global competitiveness.
