Executive Secretary of NCAOOSCE Visits NBAIS and Tinubu Legacy Skills and Training Institute for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children in Kaduna

The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education (NCAOOSCE), Dr. Muhammad Sani, paid a working visit to the headquarters of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) in Kaduna State, where he was warmly received by the Executive Secretary of NBAIS.

During the meeting, both management teams discussed preparations for the forthcoming NBAIS examinations for learners at the Tinubu Legacy Institute. In a show of support, NBAIS pledged to conduct the examinations free of charge as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Following the meeting, the two Executive Secretaries visited the Tinubu Legacy Skills and Training Institute for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children at Kinkinau, Kaduna, to assess the progress of the ongoing intervention programme.

Currently, 200 Almajiri learners are undergoing a nine-month intensive training programme at the institute. Upon completion, they will sit for the NBAIS examinations, which—if passed—will qualify them for admission into tertiary institutions.

The visit reinforced inter-agency collaboration, assessed learners’ academic preparedness, and solidified plans for seamless examination processes and continued educational support.
